We're getting a band together, currently have a singer and drummer. Just need a bassist and guitarist. Influences include Zepplin, Stone Roses, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Nirvana, Placebo, Oasis, REM, Weezer, Coldplay, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Guns n Roses, etc

Drop us a pm if you're interested.

The Doors? Then you don't need no stinkin' bass.

"The gypsies had no homes, The Doors had no bass. But don't let that scare you, my friend let that liberate you! 'Cause when you're free flying with the Doors, man - what do you need a safety net for?"

Anyone who can tell me where the above quote is from without googling it is my honorary best friend forever.

I'm one of the best unknown air guitarist in the world! I'm only a beginner when it comes to the air drums.

Oh we're hoping any short-term lack of instruments can be sorted at fairly cheap music rooms available across Hongdae. Any info here would be appreciated too obviously.

Oh - I'm the singer by the way..

yeh, all the gear you want is always supplied. we play at a place near exit 4 of hongdae called hwa-hyun.

got lots of amps, okayish house guitars and basses, keys, drums, PAs, patchcords, drumsticks, the works. $35-40 for 3 hours.

go out exit 4 (i think it's exit four -- the one on the other side of the street of the gas station, anyway -- then take the first right, and a left 30 meters later at the eyewear shop. walk for another 30 meters, then look on the right for hwa-hyun. the sign is written in chinese characters, says sound studio or something like that, too. then go down to the basement.

the owner speaks english well. the room's phone is 02-332-1472.

have fun.

The quote is from Bruce McCullough's album Shame Based Man.

It was also turned into a skit on Kids in the Hall.

Personally from that album, I like the quote "Our love is like licking the ass of a dead squirrel that's laying bloated in the sun. But also, there's a negative side."

Are you looking to play for kicks or do you plan to start gigging? I have a feeling that gigging could annoy immigration Wink
