I'll go with isolation.

Any other opinions?

sexually inactive women (they just lie there, motionless) (of course, they don't all do this - but a lot do)

I'd go with isolation, too, but since it's taken, I'll mention what I think is #2: How to fill the free time constructively.

Oh come on, that's easy....piss people off on Daves, learn Korean, get drunk as a lord. There's three without even thinking too much.

Biggest prob for waygoogindeul: privates being illegal. Means there's always an element of worry and caution in lining one's pockets.

A few years ago there was a town hall meeting for foreigners. At that time apparantly the biggest problem was lack of quality cheese.

dumbest complaint I ever heard. Just go without.

Currently, I'd say getting clothing and shoes that fit. I'm not fat, but I'm not small, and I'm not short.

Previously, I'd have said the number of tables knocking my shins on a daily basis or the inability to score decent coffee. Tables, however, have gotten higher, and coffee has come in in force.

That's just wrong. Furniture may be a little pricey but delivery is never a problem and is usually included in the price.

Where do you find them? I've had two cause my bed to collapse and another to cause one end of a side railing to fall down, and these weren't fat-bottomed girls. I thought my uncanny physical resemblance to bin Laden was why the secret police have been snooping around my pad, but maybe they're just voyeurs. If that's the case, I wish they would just come on in. I've been wishing I had some cameramen. It would be a square deal. Laughing

The biggest problem for most English teachers here is knowing Korean law and the unwritten work rules; and the Koreans who use their innocence against them.

From my perspective, the people who find it difficult here usually are living in fear that they will break some law/rule or have broken some law/rule and are living with the consequences of it.

Many break the rules without ever feeling the consequence due to some karma or charisma (or they just don't care) and they usually are the happiest.

I would consider that an advantage of living in Korea. You don't have to hear everyone telling you what to do and not to do. Koreans may talk about you but unless you know Korean very well or even then, you probably still not hear the rumors about you.

The biggest problem is usually the time between the 1st and 12th month of your contract. Other than that, it's all plain sailing.

Ohh...and the children.

and food.

I'm tempted to go with clothes options, but I see a whole lot of Korean guys much bigger than myself (weight wise) and so it must mean I just don't know where to look. But shoes are a problemo..

Biggest problem? I don't think there are any big problems, so let's calling it the least small inconvenience. For many, I believe it is the language barrier. It becomes much easier to do things if you can speak to people properly. Lately, my least small inconvenience has been ajeoshis spitting in the hallways of my apartment and idiots throwing flammable items in the community ash tray corn can. I'm really sick and tired of that.
