Hey, I'm trying to decide what city to do my next job in, and have got some interesting offers in both Busan and Daegu. I'm hoping somebody can tell me if Daegu and Busan are more or less polluted than Seoul?

It's mostly the air pollution that concerns me. My lungs have taken a pretty savage beating in Incheon and Seoul, and I'm kind of hoping to find some air that's a little less brown for my next gig.

Busan is just as bad a seoul Not sure about deagu. Ever think of a smaller city ie, Changwon and such?

It is incorrect, that fresh air from the sea is one of Busan's major advantages compared to other large Korean cities. It also keeps the climate much milder than the rest of Korea too.

I don't think Busan is that bad. Everytime i've ever been to daegu its been realy hazy. Definitly pick somewhere on the ocean if you want clean air. Busan is great in many other ways too

I'm sorry but Busan stinks like shiet. When the "breeze" comes in it smells like dead fish.

Maybe it depends on hte part of Busan. Haeundae air quality seems alright.

You could always try to insert a clean air clause in your contract with the new school. And if you deem the air to be not up to standard you have grounds to break your contract.

The only noticeably polluted places in Daegu are:
1) The area around the Dalseo-Gu industrial complex
2) The area around daegu airport, including Dongchon-Dong
