Namdaemun market.
Look for the shops underground (you have to walk down a staircase) and be prepared to haggle.
Watch expiry dates 'cause the people selling the stuff sometimes don't.
The market is 80% closed on Sundays, so try to get there on a Saturday. |

there's two entrances. the easiest one to find is the tokkaebi import mart. it's near gate 6 of namdaemun.
the other one, i couldn't help you find, but i can find it from memory on foot.
i will be going there on saturday, so i sent you a PM. if you feel like tagging along, i can take you. |

it is on line 4. i get off at hoehyeon station to go there. if you get off at hoehyeon, you go out the exit for namdaemun market and turn left, you find exit 6 almost immediately.
it's also easily accessible from myeongdong and about 1000 bus routes.
if you're a boozer, bring extra cash, because the liquor vendors are a dime a dozen and usually about 10 bucks cheaper than normal. it's really a fool's paradise. |
