I'm redecorating after I smashed my kitchen up one night. I need new tiles. After hammering the old tiles off, I'm not certain how to get the old mortar off. With a hammer and chisel? No thanks. A power tool? I think so but which one?

Most hammer drills have a setting that allows you to use it as a small jackhammer (the bit doesn't rotate). Find one of those and get a wide, flat bit for it. It should do the trick.
