wow I'm so bored right now.... and it's Monday morning. It's final exam week, and so I only have 2 classes... all week, and on friday.
So i'm asking myself... wth am I going to do all week. Sure I've had some consecutive days off before, but never a whole week.
the sad thing is I'm sure I'll accomplish nothing during my time of desk sitting, but then again... what is there to accomplish... travel plans?? make a half assed attempt to learn some more korean? lesson plan.?ugghhhh.... as much as teaching drives me crazy sometimes... I wish I was doing a little of it this week.....

BLAH

Umm, well, I'm really busy here. I have to start making lessons plans for next year. If I send you the topics, could you maybe put together some pretask-task-posttask lessons with visual aids and work sheets for me?
Please?

I had that last week.

I was so bored. I at least got to go home early. When the weekend came around I just cleaned because I had already done anything else I needed/wanted to do.

I live in a small town, there is not much to do anyway.

well... my CT just handed me this list of next years topics... for lesson planning....
the thing is now.... I do only one lesson per week and change it accordingly based on level...
with this little system... it would require 8 compeltely different lesson plans a week....
now I do two or three depending on extra classes.

apparently she thinks i'm slacking.... BUT I refuse to do this her way... as where are her lesson plans?? oh yeah she teachers from a book.... if they want me to do the stupid text book lesson plan topics.... then I might as well just teach straight out of the textbook....
I like doing something different... to mix it up for the students...

oi....

they have me proctoring the exams. 1 or 2 a day. and i usually have a book and cross-stitch on hand.

i wrote a book for the school year, so i don't have any prep work to do. i'm getting a lot done in my cross-stitch! my distance MA doesn't start until February, dammit!

Well if you don't want to study something (and I mean, why would you? learning is for suckahs) you could always download the free 10-day trial of World of Warcraft. Very Happy

Hey there. I have been doing the same since last Thursday, sitting at my computer for half of the day. However, I have used the time to read the book Matilda and do some lessons for my Winter Reading camp. I did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the summer and it was a real hit so now I am going to try Matila. While I was home in Canada this summer I managed to find the Matilda video. It's a great way to pass the time away. Now, I have to work on the conversation part of the winter camp...uuuuuhhhhh. Any ideas for a middle school conversation class for two to three weeks? Hoping to find a theme.

I agree.

I rescheduled my classes and started Sogang last week. Mon-Friday 9-1 then haul ass on the subway to where I teach and do interviews all afternoon.

But hey, I get to study Korean for 10 weeks 4 hours a day, isn't life grand.
