I am leaving korea soon, going back to canada, and am wondering the best way to ship my desktop home. I bought it here about a year ago and really like it so i dont want to leave it behind. I guess i could try to fit it in my suitcase but is it possible to ship it with korean post or a delivery service. And also as i am so very naive when it comes to these things, what will i need in order to use it at home, as the voltage is different. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There should be a switch on the back of the power supply that will allow you to switch from 220 to 110v. If there is NOT a switch then you can stop into any shop and pick up a new power supply for about $30.

Since you have been out of the country for a year or more you are entitled to $10,000 duty free repatriation allowance IN ADDITION TO your $750 personal duty free allowance.

If you mail/ship your PC back to Canada be sure to declare it as goods to follow when you enter Canada so you won't have to pay duty or import tax on it.

Read about it on the link above.

You can carry it with you, send it by EMS or just plain air parcel. If you send it EMS, make sure that you will arrive BEFORE the package or the receiver will get dinged import duties and GST.

IF you want to ship it You can pick up a box with the styrofoam packing material from any dealer that sells computer cases. They usually just toss them out anyway.
