Well,
I hit Itaewon last night and am staying in tonight as a result! As I was a bit nervous about going out on my own, I had a few wee glasses of scotch and coke at home. Took some more on the subway with me...
Got to the bar, met the ppl I'd arranged to meet, was totally wasted, talked about Gaelic all night (despite the fact that I know very little about it) and can't remember leaving the bar.
Other things I can't remember:
1. Who I was talking to.
2. How I lost my subway map.
3. How I managed to get from Line 6 to Line 1.
4. Why I didn't have a ticket when I got back to Dobong.
Feeling suitably rough today and guilty as I was supposed to meet a Korean teacher from work but didn't wake until five so stood her up! Tonight I'm taking it easy and going to re-think my whole approach to building a social life in Seoul, lol...
Newbies take note - and apologies to anyone I may have met and possibly offended, lol....

I did exactly the same thing when I was new- I remember slurring
"Just because he's got a hat, that bloke thinks he can dance"
about 20 times to some girl who couldn't make out a word.
Ah well, this is how we learn eh Brian? |

Soon that feeling will be just a memory and you'll be staggering around town with confidence, like an old pro.
Glad you had a good night out. (Consider the bean sprout soup, also known as Hangover Soup. I don't know that it really helps a hangover, but it doesn't taste bad.) |

While some parts of a hangover are caused by the toxic effect of alcohol, much of it is caused by dehydration. Keep drinking as much water as you can and the effects will be much less

Not so much of a physical hangover as a mental one, if you get what I mean. Cheers for the advice anyhow!
