|
|
I need to begin looking for a job. Unfortunately the disks I have aren't working at the moment. I need a place to go to put some documents on disk. At home I went to Kinko's. I don't think their's a Kinko's in the city of Jinju.
Aside: Few of the public pc rooms have disk drives. An easy task is becoming immensely frustrating. Does anyone know of a place in Jinju ( Or elsewhere ) where I can scan some documents, insert a disk into a computer, and get my job hunt rolling? Your aid is really neccessary here.
Perhaps I sound like your Grandmother, but what happened to disk drives and computers with disk drives? How do people do things now? Inform me if you know. Thank You! |

Welcome to the future!
In Korean, this is called "ee-dong-shik". Available from your neighbourhood computer store. |

Do I go the store with my documents and have the clerk " ee dong shik " the documents? How much does this cost?
Neighborhood Computer Store? I'm not the most aware guy, but I've lived here about a year and have yet to locate a neighborhood computer store. |

Why not just email the documents to yourself. |

No, what I mean is that you throw away your floppy disks and buy a ee-dong-shik drive (otherwise known as a pen drive) and save your stuff on that. They store hundreds of times more than a floppy disk.
You can buy them at any computer store. |

having spent several months of my life in jinju a few years ago, i feel your pain.
i'd hit GSNU campus- copy place around the student center area there (post office, shops, cafeteria) used to have scanners. any large photocopy shop near a school/univ. will.

I've found the ee-dong shik ( pen drive ) and note that in the picture it is plugged in to a scanner. After I get the documents scanned : Do most pc rooms have computers friendly to ee-dong shik technology. Thank you for your previous help. Hopefully more is forthcoming. |

Memory sticks plug into usb ports. Every computer has at least one. Most have 4. |

1) The memory on the computer is one gigabyte. I went to two places today and had a mountain of difficulty with the employees in the computer department. Is their any other bit of information concerning the pc I should know? Any advice on a particular make? ( Price )
2) Scanning. Scanning. Scanning. Will my one gigabyte memory stick suit most scanners? Do most scanners agree with all sizes of memory stick?
Do most photo studios have scanners present?
Please get back to me as soon as you can. I need to find a new job and I need to do so fairly quickly. Thank You! |
