If I sign up for a second year with the same school in the GEPIK programme, do I get an extra 2 weeks paid vacation as well as the 2 weeks in my contract? I guess what I'm asking is, will I get 4 weeks vacation in total for my second year at the same school?

Hi

When I re-signed with Gepik this summer, I got 14 days home leave in addition to my regular summer vacation.

Did your school let you take the regular summer vacation together with the extra two weeks to allow you 3 weeks at home or wherever you went?

Summer vacation at my school is shorter than the winter vacation, so there wasn't enough time for me to do summer camp classes, have my two weeks home leave and my regular summer vacation. So, after much discussion, they initially wanted me to "forget" about my regular summer vacation, I got my summer vacation carried over inot my new contract.

If you go this route, make sure you get it in writing Smile

Good Luck

Are you thinking of re-signing then Poet?
If the end of your contract is in October, then theoretically speaking you should take your 2 weeks home leave then. However, as another poster said that would mess up the school schedule, so I guess they would want u to take it in the summer.
