As long as your boss is agreeable it is no problem.

Take your new contraact with the NEW end date on it, your ARC, your passport, 30k won and a filled in application down the the immigration office and they will take care of you in a short time.

Your extension will ONLY be until the end date of the contract so if you want a couple days after your contract to finish up your business and pack make sure you have your contract go a few days beyond your last work day.

CONTRACT Extensions can be for any period ranging from one day up to one year.

Extensions while awaiting travel arrangements are only for up to 10 days and require your exiting air ticket.

thanks... I was confused because my boss told me she'd talked to immigration and they can't be renewed for more than a few weeks. Great, now I have to jump through hoops to figure out what she's REALLY trying to do... .cheers for info.

True that. At my last school I extended my contract for an extra three months and at my current school for another year!
