I was on a bus once in some Korean town (don't remember which) and this pervert got on. He kept looking around at all the young pretty girls, then decided to put his hands on some highschool girls head. Didn't dawn on me that he shouldn't be doing it, but I don't thing anything came of it.

In retrospect, I kinda regret that I didn't tell him to lay off.

a young lady accidentally bumps into a middle aged guy on a very crowded bus. he starts hitting her (there is no way i can do anything - they are on the other side of the bus from me and we are packed in like sardines). she asks him why he is hitting her. he makes an excuse and curses at her. she asks the bus driver to let them off at the police station. when the bus driver stops to let them off, she asks the 아저씨 to get off with her. He, indignant, refuses. She insists. Finally, he pushes her off the bus (down the few stairs there are at the exit - it looks painful). Another man near the exit takes the 아저씨 off the bus (hopefully to go to the police station). the bus driver drives away.

A 40-something, balding, chubby aujushi in a business suit fondling the crotch of the 15-year school boy he is pressed up against in the packed bus. The boy tries moving away, but can't. He pushes the aujulshi's hand away, but he aggressively returns it. The boy says something to him, and he stops. The boy gets out at the next stop.

From the street I once saw a passenger and the bus driver scrap. I mean what the heck could they have been fighting for? My funniest experience is that I once gave my seat up to an old ajuma. She was so thankful that when she sat down she was motioning me to sit on her lap...i pissed myself laughing and politely said no thanks.

I've seen a bus driver stop a bus in the middle of the road and proceed to get into a fistfight with a taxi driver. That was a pretty awesome day.

I was on a bus from Pusan up to Kyungju when I keep hearing "no touch, no touch". Then next thing I hear is "Gee your lucky. If I asked a Korean to not touch me they would laugh at me". Then I hear again "no touch, no touch". This time I hear a big "Ib Tak Cho". Man it was loud, and everybody that I could see looked at each other in shock. There was dead silence on the bus after that, and no more "don't touch, don't touch"

Waited for the guy as he got off the bus to see what the problem was, and the dood said it was just a matter of space between him and a female passenger. He said every time he moved the cotin pickin female would complain.

She wasn't motioning for you to sit on her lap, she was offering to hold your bag because now you were standing and she was sitting. Same thing happened to me too. Razz

Best thing I've seen on a bus:

There was some kind of "earn your degree with English-speaking westerners!" ad - two smiling white people in caps and gowns embracing. One of the people in the picture sort of looked like they were being hugged against their will.

Someone added a speech bubble to that person which said, "What are you doing?!"

After hearing it from my wannabe-clever 11 year old boys all afternoon, it freaking cracked me up.

In Japan buses with the highschoolgirls are fun. Was on one with a bunch of old guys when it stopped at a highschool to pick up the students going home. Some of them plonked their pretty little buts with their skirts hiked way up next to some of the old timers. Was sure funny to see the reaction of the guys. They froze and went ramrod stiff. Looked straight ahead and literally shook all over. Girls just added to their misery and slid down in the chair, so that their bums and more of their legs were showing.

Poor old guys. Probably went home and had a heartattack

The bus I was on pulled up to another at a red light and heated words were exchanged between the drivers. The light changed and the other bus took off. Our driver moved to the inside lane and caught up with the bus at the next bus stop where he pulled in front of the bus, blocking it (and 2 other lanes of the street) in! Our driver got out and ran back to meet the other driver and discuss things in the blocked off area.

Our driver whooped the others butt, maybe hospital visit bad. It was hard to see with everyone crowding the right side windows, but the other driver was still laying there when our bus pulled away.

Public transportation is one of those things that's infinitely nicer in Korea than in other countries. For all the weird things listed here, it's nowhere near as crazy as a western bus. People who ride buses in my hometown were all freaks. Here everyone rides the bus.
