Bill Hicks is the best, but Joe Rogan's heckler response is better:

I thought this was going to be a thread about eating club-foot babies.

That was a better diss that Hicks because he was funny and not just abusive. Wow, he totally owned her, that is how to deal with a heckler. I love Hicks, for his ideas, but I don't really understand why people think that show where he flipped out is so amazing. Basically he just got angry and abusive, but it wasn't great comedy. It was not really a classic comedic way to deal with a heckler...

I'm with amber. Neither of them made me laugh really... Do you need to be drunk to find stand-up comedians funny? Cuz I usually don't. Usually, I'm sober when I'm watching them.

I'm a big fan of Hicks, both his comedy and his ideas...

This one incident where he loses it sort of scared me, and made me realise how dark and angry he could be. Still it gives him a lot of credibility, with his act as a passionate and heart felt message. This one occasion shows him in a human moment - not supposed to be funny - or part of the act.

"I want you to go and find a SOUL"!!

See, this sort of thing is what made Hicks so great. He wasn't just a comedian, he was actually trying to TELL you something about life, ect. Its alot funnier I think in the broader context of his work. I laugh cause I empathize with his point of view.

I've seen all his stuff, and he's only ever flipped out like that one time. But he's hilarious all the time...
