i got out of jongno station on sunday and saw a dolphin sashimi restaurant.
is it naive to be surprised, shocked and angry? or do i just not understand korea? |

Hunting and eating dolphins has been illegal here since the 90s so I doubt it. 갈매기살 isn't seagull meat either, it's beef. Meat names here are a bit weird that way. |

dunno... the restaurant had a smiling dolphin on the sign. much like the samgyeopsal places have a smiling pig on theirs. "i can't wait for you to eat me!!!" |

Wow...sounds like those neat restaurants in other asian countries that serve Shark fin soup.....
Or the massive whale hunting industry that is disguised as 'scientific work' in Japan!
As for Dolphin meat....that is pretty weird..... |

They probably serve tuna. Dolphins are often seen (and sometimes caught in the nets) with tuna. |
