Specifically Ulster? Or Ulster-supporting?

I mean, rapier has a point.

When someone says "hey! Any other people from Timbuktu"...I kind of wonder if the only friends he/she can acquire are people from their own global area of origin.

Ahh.. soda bread, Ulster fry, Kelly's (Lush) nite club, Lavery's in belfast.. the memories come flooding back. Yes I spent 4 years in Norn Iron and had a great time (Not as a squaddie, please don't hit me)
I wonder though does " Ulster folk" include folk from Armagh as well as Portadown? And should i say "Derry" or "Londonderry"? Hopefully it doesn't matter out here in the wonderful cosmopolitan land of Korea. Incidentally, I hail from Rhodesia/ Zimbabwe. I don't mind bumping into the occasional person from my home country but I'd never bother seeking them out . I'm more into socialising with new and exotic people like Americans or canadians.

Spent way too much time in Laverys, Belfast. I put Charlie Laverys kids through college.

I expect any ulsterman knows full well that he/she leaves all that political baggage back home.

As I'm typing this I'm chewing on some dulse all the way from Co. Antrim. My mum kindly included a bag in her last parcel.

I don't think it does any harm to seek out some fellow countrymen and compare experiences or just talk about home.

There's the www.seoulshamrock.co.kr website for any Irish looking to meet people who understand hurling and love to eat potatoes.
