Some of you who've been here long enough might remember Hwang Soo-jung's high-profile drug bust from 2001. Well, she's making a comeback, with an appearance in a WAX video.

Some netizens are less than thrilled:

Netizens Rolling Eyes

What,exactly,is that supposed to mean?

Actually,my old "supervisor" at a public middle school told me she was a netizen. As if that gave her cred or mana or something.

Freaking heck. What's the difference between "netizen" and the old fashioned "an anonymous source".

What kind of hack would quote such "people".It'd be like going into any drinking establishment and asking around.

"Man in the pub. What's your take on this?"

"Play some fvcken Chisel!!!!!!!"

Netizen is to Korea what Eastend taxi driver is to England. Boorish, opinionated and obviously not getting enough.

Ummm ... wow, great article.

Which "drug"? The story seems to overlook this rather insignificant little "fact".

Such stellar corporate journalism Rolling Eyes

That's what long-timers are here for.

If I remember correctly, it was amphetamines and her boyfriend, who owned an 'upscale room salon', was also arrested.

She looks different, by the way. Don't know if it's weight loss, cosmetic surgery, or both, but she looks better.

Speed will make you skinnier, but it will NOT make you more beautiful.

Google image search "methamphetamine, before, after, pictures" and you get this:

That's Hott!

Methamphetamine and amphetamine are slightly different structurally, and in effect on the body.

I think she may have been arrested for the use of methamphetamines, not amphetamines.

It was methamphetamines, according to wiki.d-addicts.com Laughing

You forgot the best one:

http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200409/200409100027.html

Quote:
Actress Hwang Soo-jung Sues NHN for Defamation

Actress Hwang Soo-jung raised a law suit against NHN. Corp., the company that runs the portal site Naver(www.naver.com), on Friday. Hwang insisted, The site violated my honor by leaving pictures of me in a prison uniform and parody cartoons of me taking drugs. She is sueing the firm for W100 million.

The actress was once arrested for taking drugs.

Park Jae-youn, Hwang's lawyer for the case, said Miss Hwang had asked countless times that photographs with her in prison attire be erased, along with other pictures featuring her with her hands tied with a rope and parody pictures with her injecting methamphetamines. NHN left the material up, however, for everyone to see, damaging Hwang's honor, her lawyer explained.

Hey, Liberace once sued a tabloid that said he was gay...and he won.
