I'm guessing most people my age would know him as the monster in Young Frankenstein, and younger people probably know his from Everybody Loves Raymond. But for me he'll always be the ultra-reactionary hardhat in Joe.

I saw that too this morning. Sad.
He was so believable as Joe that I didn't like him much. Then Young Frankenstein came out and I was bowled over. He really was a fine actor. |
