Okay, I have a few questions and noticed a few of you seemed to have fighting/training ties.
Does anyone know much about Spirit MC? http://www.spiritmc.org/
A fight promoter friend of mine stateside said he could hook me up with a contact. I've fought for him once or twice on short notice but I put the fight game long behind me.
One of my goals is to get back into fighting shape though and then consider wether or not I'll take another fight.
Is this a Korean organization? I cannot read the website.
Also, how are the fighters there? I'm assuming it is pure MMA but in Japan you occassionally see some stupid TKD, sumo, whatever cross that makes fighting a joke from time to time. I'd probably take a payday in any fighting condition with a TKD or sumo expert in a heartbeat
Anyway, are they pretty legit trainers and fighting circuits there? Or is it shady? I'm probably going to stay retired. My memory is bad enough as it is from being kicked and punched in the head a few too many times. Just curious though.
Also, what are the governing rules? Pride rules? Head kicks are legal? Ground stomping? I guess I'm asking in the wrong place! Does Korea have any strange rules to MMA or is it just not caring?
Thanks if anyone knows. Or has links to fighter forums, communities or whatever there. |

| Not sure about the rules but there are circuits here like pride/mma style. Kickboxing K1 style is very popular there are some good gyms here but most guys train in Japan anyway. |

Normally not at all interested in Gay 1 style entertainment, but I did walk past a gym in Kangnam that billed itself as "Fight Club" that looked intriquing.
It was closed, but looked a pretty professional set up from the street. At the very least they'd be able to point you in the right direction. |
