Okay, before I get lambasted for not checking this site for similar questions, I already have, with no success.
I have a unique situation in that I'm not going to have enough time to process my visa before leaving for Korea, and I have no alternative but to bring my dog with me and enter the country with a tourist visa.
If anyone has any experience with a similar situation, I would greatly appreciate any info.
Thanks in advance! |

I'm not really sure about coming to Korea with a pet on a tourist visa. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. It is easy to bring pets into Korea, depending on where you are coming from. From Canada you only need to show a Vet certificate of health and your pet needs to have had a rabis shot vacine at least a month prior to coming into the country. If your not from Canada. I would contact Incheon International Airport animal quarantine. |

It's not that unique. Just make sure you don't work before you get your visa. |

One thing to consider is customs. We were told when we flew our dog in last (she came as cargo, unaccompanied) that if it were more than 90 days after our original arrival, they would have taxed us for her. Because it was within 90 days, she counts as personal effects (like a couch) as part of our move, and wasn't taxed. I'm not sure how this would work on a tourist visa, since you aren't "moving" in their eyes. |

i dont think they give dogs tourist visas, perhaps you could get a temporary work for the dog if he was able to find a job. |
