Seriously what the hell is wrong with Koreans.

I like sparing but holy shit some of them are retards.

How come basic physics don't make it into their head.

I'm a light heavy weight at 88kilos and I spar against that are 58-90 kilos. I will spar anyone with in reason.

They complain that I have to much power so I punch with open hands to absorb the shock I don't make fists and I don't use my body or shoulder to throw these punches. So to this 59 kilo dood thinks this rule doesn't apply to him. He goes ape shit on me throwing super lighting fast CLOSED fist punches.. HEY HEY power down.. Open your hand You numb skull. Any way so I get through the 9 minutes with this clown the next guy tho is a bonified GENIOUS.

There IS PHUCKING REASON THE GYM HAS SPARRING GLOVES. You don't use some old shity heavy bag gloves that are 9 years old and originally weighed 10 OZ.. They are now like fucking 6 oz gloves. They have no absorbtion. (New Gloves MIN 14 OZ)I go through about 2 minutes and he starts throwing knees, (first we didn't agree on knees) I go WTF no knees but the combo goes through I get clocked and snap broken nose.

Argh

THere is my rant.. *Lessons* don't spar with guys that only spar every two months or so they have no Control.

The idiot broke your nose?? sorry to hear that...

ahem..I suppose compensation is out of the question? I mean he could at least help you out with medical bills considering he broke the agreed rules of the sparring.

its all out-of-control ego with these idiots. next time just say "stop" and make clear the rules to him again before it goes too far.

I don't care about the cost.. I care about the fact he broke my nose because he can't spar properly. Shit common sense or lack ther of pissed me off. I know I could break their nose but I don't want to do that.

They don't understand sparing. Its their to practice combos and condition your self and its not their to hurt the other guy. All they did is hurt the "other guy" Relax..

The worst part is that I love to spar and I spar a lot but shit with newbies its a pain in the ass. I am not your punching/experimentation bag.

I think they just do it cause they get to hit the foreigner. Rolling Eyes

Now I can't spar cause my nose is broken. Evil or Very Mad

they're down the hoff-uh laughing the fact that they broke the foreigners nose. Feeling like the big man even though he knows he be dead if you had lost control as much as he did.

If it had been me I'd have lost it a whole lot worse as soon as i noticed the guy breaking the agreement. they'd have had to jump in and prize me off.

reminds me of a time we agreed to have a game of touch rugby. I get the ball and the opposite dude can't resist a full contact tackle. I near crippled him a few moments later -he was left winded on the ground.

moral is..if the rules can be broken, they will. Most people are idiots, and will take advantage if they can. So expect them to do the dumb thing, and be ready to give as good as you get.

Thats not cool at all...that is why when i did spar it was only with waygooks who knew the rules and followed them through. Koreans are always looking for the upper edge in sports. I play hockey and there is always a cherry picker sitting alone up at the blue line waiting for the "long pass". My hat goes off to you for not dummying the guy. Needless to say you sound like a true sportsman, but unfortunately i think you owe him one and I hope you give it to him to teach him a lesson. In my case, I never, ever make the long pass!

Corporal, you just don't understand. The guy made an illegal move without discussing it in English first with Wrench, who was too busy pumping up to initiate such a discussion himself. This is grounds for deriding all citizens of Korea, on whom the science of physics is a total wash.

Sparring is similar to maneuvers in the armed forces when say, Blue team and Red team engage in mock battle using blank ammunition.

What our Korean friend did was equivalent to one team using live ammunition.

Unless the OP is a boxer, the sparring WAS for fun. And Corporal's point stands. Sometimes rules or no rules people get hurt when they engage in physical violence (be it mock or real).

That said, were I the OP and the next time I saw him I would let him know exactly how I feel. I'd challenge him to a full power closed fist match and make him back down in front of all his friends. After he'd lost so much face, he'd likely never come around there again.

Suck it up dude, it's a contact sport and "accidents" happen. Next time make sure you get a few cheap shots back at him.
