Wow, I just watched a bunch of the deleted scenes. Really interesting stuff.
Oh, and the Irish guy wasn't supposed to be in the movie; originally Jabba was going to be furry, which is why they had a guy wearing a furry costume as a stand-in. |

I knew this about 10 years ago. But then I was a Star Wars geek for much of my adolescence. The guy's name was Delcan Mulholland. Here's a wiki link
