|
I am going to Osaka for a C-4 (the one that is for only 30 days to work at a winter camp i think) i have all the necessary paperwork from my employer, but i was only able to book a flight to Osaka from Incheon on the 26th at around 5:00 and retuning home at around the same time thursday which basically only gives me one and a hlaf days to process it. Is it enough time ?? i am just worried because this time i am going i have no visa confirmation number, as i did before.
Thanks for any feedback you have |

It is NOT enough time and with no visa confirmation number you will NOT get a C4 visa.
Your boss has to take the paperwork to the immigrationb office HERE in Korea for the initial application. Immigration will then issue the visa confirmation number for you to take to the consulate. This usually takes 4 or 5 working days to process.
You MUST drop your application off at the consulate BEFORE 4pm and pick it up AFTER 1:30pm the following day. |

I'm not an expert in this area but I believe your informatiom, ttompatz, applies to the E2 visa process and is a little different for the C4 visa. I got a last minute camp job in Sept. I went to my interview Thursday night and had all my documentation with me. I signed the contract and they gave me some kind of letter of invitation and copies of the contract to give to the consulate on the spot. (I don't believe there was a confirmation number or if there was then it was prearrranged and included in the package). Unlike the E2 visa I had to take original copy of my degree and sealed transcripts to the consulate in Osaka.
My timing was also tight I was at the consulate first thing in the morning and was not supposed to be able to recieve the visa untill after 1:30 next day. However my employer phoned consulate personal in Osaka and they agreed to have my visa ready in the morning so things worked out. If you can pick your visa up directly after lunch you should still be able to make a 5PM flight
I also signed for a camp in Jan and have to do C4 run. Once again they only took a copy of my degree to show the camp director and they'll issue me the paper work when he signs the contract next week. They didn't take any original documents to take to immigration. I have to take them to Japan with me again.
Speak to your director or recruiter again for reassurance.Ithink you are all right but I"ve been wrong before |

The exception proves the rule I guess.
I stand corrected (policy has apparently been changed but they did not change the policy book).
