Ok, here in Korea we hear about all the Gay bashing well what about the Hetro bashing.
If you go to www. Korea.net you can download a booklet the "Guidebook for Immigrant Women"
On page 38 of the book it clearly states that "Sexual Intercourse with a Third Party OF THE OPPOSITE SEX" is punishable by up to 2 years inprisonment. So if your partner decides to paddle upstream, they can't be punished!!

The last I heard adultery is still a crime here, although it is almost never enforced. Since homosexuality is a recent foreign import, the laws have not been up-dated to include it.

If this law is strictly enforced, all Korean men and women would end up in prison.

I think a few have missed the point of dividing the signified from the signifier. The term "homosexual" and everything it represents is likely a new phenomenon to Korea. It's jut another shrink-wrap label.

From what I've been told, sex between men is not illegal in Korea. However revolting that idea is to me, if you're into it -- get busy with no fear of jailtime.

Samuri are not Korean, BTW.

Ya-Ta-Ya -

Do you remember The Labouchere Amendment, which made same-sex activity illegal in the UK? They didn't include lesbianism because they didn't believe it existed. Or so the story goes.

I'm sure you're very happy to see so many gay Korean men, but don't project your fantasies on to others. ESL teachers in Korea are no more likely to be gay than anyone else. Stats vary, from 1 to 5 percent, all around the world, across all catagories of people. There's no particular concerntration of gayness in ESL teachers. But if you're gay there's no need to feel uncomfortable. No one is judging you for being gay, just for being insecure enough to project your own fantacies onto other people...

Incidentally, the same bias extends to the rape laws. Rape here is defined as man-on-woman rape, so a dude could rape another man and be totally innocent of all crimes. Also, women are free to rape men.

Wow...honestly, I though I was the only person who had read that cover-to-cover online lately.
