So in the small community I live in, I've found out all the English teachers are buying each other presnts. I was told to "just get the cheesiest presents you can find". Well I'm too lazy for this and still not sure how much these people are my friends as opposed to acquaintances.. I don't wanna fork out too much - about 9 people in all - is this too nasty?: a small packet of chips (or chip like things) a Ferrero Rocher, a couple of chocolate bars and a card. was thinking of throwing in a small bottle of soju too OR shall I hot the 1000 won shop and buy 1 useless piece of crap (a la photo frame, sieve, plastic plant etc)

I was gonna contribute a couple of bottles of nice plonk to the overall cause.... I've already purchased the chips and chocs, but can always eat them myself!

Why not give something useful? Like a rubber band, a paper clip, a plastic bag. Those things are pretty dang handy. On the other hand, you could always wrap up a brick or revive the "pet rock" phenomenon.

Better yet, tell your students about it and have them make something. You can use those pointless class hours after finals as Christmas project time.

Scarves and gloves. Practical, nice, and not insanely expensive.
