I went to pick one up today, but I can't find one anywhere. I checked Kyobo, Young gwang, and others that I don't know the name of.

It's my first venture there, and I am sure to be lost without one?

Or is it really that easy? Just get a map at the airport, bus to Kao San road, find cheap hotel, stay a few days, explore a bit of BKK, ask for tourist info at cheap hotel desk, travel to small quiet city (do these exist in Thailand around Christmas - Jan?)

Thanks in advance

Good luck! Where are you going in thailand? I was there in June.

No time for mail order. I'll be leaving next Tuesday. I am planning to stay in BKK for a couple of days and then head off for someplace quiet and not too pricey. Chang Mai sounds interesting.

Sfunz didn't have one...I checked.

I should have grabbed one a month ago....there were some then. Embarassed

Oh well, it's sure to be an adventure. I just hope it's not too costly.

Thanks for your help,

Merry Christmas.

Are you flying direct from Busan or via Incheon?
I am sure you can get one at Incheon.

Direct from Busan. I'll keep checking during the week, one of the stores may get in another copy before I go. Thanks for all the help.

Have a great Christmas and a wonderful new year.

Cheers

Ah, just do it. There's really nothing much to it.
Take a cab from the airport to Khao San Road and Bob will most certainly be your uncle. Once in Khao San it's easy to find a place to stay and you can find all the information you need about getting around.
