Poor Water Supplied in 1,400 Places
Substandard drinking water was supplied in 1,400 places nationwide, including schools and childcare centers, because water quality inspecting organizations fabricated data, prosecutors said.... Thirty-two National Institute of Environmental Research employees were indicted without detention on charges of receiving kickbacks from head of the environment technology institute.... According to the prosecution, 14 of the nation's 52 private and public water quality examination organizations have fabricated inspection data about underground water in 1,753 places, including drinking water in 1,410 places.

Bribed officials manipulate tests of polluted water
The water in 1,753 sites nationwide was wrongfully declared safe when some of them contained up to 17 times the maximum contaminant level for nitrate-nitrogen, state prosecutors said yesterday. Some of these sites have provided drinking water to over 1,400 orphanages and schools nationwide.

You are a racist! How many of you can honestly say that your countries don't have health inspectors who fabricate data? How many of you?

Police in Ontario will be laying criminal charges against two brothers involved in the tainted water scandal in Walkerton, Ont.
Stan and Frank Koebel, the brothers who ran Walkerton's water system, admitted during an inquiry that they had compromised the system's safety and then lied about it.

You mean Walkerton?

Two people? That ain't the same as 14 of 52 inspection organizations.

My answer is appropriate for the question you asked.

Sure wish they'd tell us what places aren't safe. I drink the tap, but maybe I shouldn't.

Hmmm, long bow to draw... there was no claim that this problem was restricted to Korea, just some information. As most posters here live in Korea it would seem that this story would be of interest to them.

I think you are being overly sensitive.
