Red dog and other animal lovers, this is a warning. You will probably be horrified by this (as it bothered me somewhat, can't imagine you guys). This is a real warning!

Went into the teachers room today and there was a squeaking. Long story short, someone put a mouse trap out (it is super sticky and attracts them, sticking them to it) with two mice on it. Blood was everywhere and they were wimpering quite a lot and loudly. The blood came from them trying to rip themselves off of the mouse trap, I am sure you guys can imagine the state they looked like. Anyways, I don't kill things, I usually put spiders out instead of squashing them (mosquitos do not count, I kill them without hesitation) though I am not a wimp with blood or anything, but the whining and amount of blood everywhere (they were strong mice moving the trap all around the room) was somewhat disturbing just walking in in the morning. There must be better ways of getting rid of mice, or atleast better ways of killing them. I ain't no stupid animal activist either, just incase.

As much as it seems horrible, the clap-trap is still the most humane way of killing a mouse. One touch of a pad, the clapper flips hard and usually breaks the mouse's neck or delivers a body blow that crushes the lungs and the animal dies within a few minutes. Those sticky traps must have been invented by sadists who get their jollies watching suffering.

I prefer the normal mousetrap. It kills them straight up most times. Mice and rats are about the only mammals I have killed to get rid of them. But I I was allowed I would kill cats and foxes in Australian National parks.

In some locations I keep the spiders inside, to keep the insect numbers down.
