Does anyone know the usual E2 visa processing time at the Montreal consulate? We have a new teacher sending in his passport this week and they told him not to expect it back before January 5. The website says 5 business days, but there aren't that many holidays between now and Jan. 5. Is Boxing Day even a holiday in Canada?

Boxing Day is a holiday in Canada.

I mailed mine into the Montreal consulate and had it back in a week. The time varies, but I find they tend to overestimate. Mine was back exactly on the 7th day.

Make sure they send EVERYTHING they needs so there are no delays. Passport, payment, visa issuance number, photos, application form, etc.

Good luck Smile
