The taxi driver literally honking his horn for 10 seconds straight every 20 seconds (I used no hyperbole there) or the guy who called the taxi but wasn't ready and is making the taxi driver wait atleast 5 minutes now? I think it is the guy actually.

A little terse here, Mr. Lao. Some background details with some local color and 4-part harmony would help.

Thanks.

Oh no OP, its you again. Your posts are rapidly degenerating.

Life isn't so ideal as your puppy/kitten 'birthday card avatar'. Maybe you should trade it in at the closest stationary store.

Also, I'm curious - are you a myspace user by any small chance? I'm sure you do and subsequently keep it regularly updated so your friends and family can read about your adventures in this dangerous part of the orient.

Who are you? What's wrong with my OP? What do you mean it's me again? How is that degenerating? There was a guy who honking his horn for a long time on a pretty much 20 second scale. My God, this site is full of posts going on about things about Korea that are absolutely ridiciulous, and you chose this one. I don't have a myspace page. I am a programmer, if I wanted a page, I would make one.

They're just joking around. Do not take it seriously and beat them up or anything (a shotgun to the head might be in order, though).

Possibly, but that is confidential.

What the heck is Panghak? That's even more impenetrable than the first post. (Is that the Tonight--or maybe tomorrow night--is the longest night, shortest day of the year thing?)

I was just trying, in my oh-so-helpful way to say that if the OP had some elaboration, that it could be a fun story. You know, the kind that starts out, "SO I had to go to X tonight after work, SO I was standing on the curb for 20 minutes waving down taxi and taxi, but these racist pig taxi drivers wouldn't stop, but finally one did and do you know what he did after I climbed in back?...kind of thing.

You are a public school teacher, aren't you? How can you not know panghak (vacation)? My children say it on a daily basis Smile
I didn't want it to be a fun story. Last time I tried to make a fun story, it didn't go well (not surprising considering this board's denizens).

laogaiguk you need a friend - to chat to and help you get over all this stress you have been enduring lately...

people are not "picking" on you or "picking on your posts"

its just that lately - you have been posting some strange things.....

try to calm down - don't turn to "Daves-esl-cafe" whenever you are stressed....

just do something else... watch a movie - take a long shower etc....

Oh, THAT panghak. Sorry, I didn't recognize it in English. Might be because I have 4 (FOUR!!!) more days of this misery before my vacation starts.

I don't know what those other posters are on about. I haven't noticed any degeneration in your posts (except in number), but I'm probably senile, so that doesn't prove much.

(I just thought I detected the possibility of a full-on epic story of grief and misery in your OP. I guess not. Just as well, I guess.)

Go reread Reflections post.

This is definitely "picking on my posts". I will not argue that point with you.

This is a perfectly valid rant (especially considering the amount of rants on this board). Go away.
