I just taught a class during fourth block (well, showed the first part of Anne of Green Gables after a brief introduction) and when I went to sign the homeroom class book noticed that I was the second teacher to have visited the class today. For yesterday, four of the seven class blocks had been signed. I imagine that most classes are similar. Everyone is busy preparing for the school Christmas / music festival on Friday.

What is the point to having a week of nothing following exams? I know some teachers use it to do exam reviews but that could be done easily in two days. Why not have another week of regular lessons so that the time students spend learning subjects relative to the time they spend preparing for exams can increase just a little?

Our students are finished with testing, so we are playing language games and watching videos, then discussing them.

Final exams right now. Next week is a waste of time though. Never will understand why schools continue to have classes after finals.

Definitely teaching. My syllabus is practical english, sound mechanics, stuff like that, not dependant of the school curriculum. I will spend as much time with the third graders as possible to give them a little extra for high school.

Through to the end of the year,I'm taking turns with the 2 main teachers I share classes with.

My class a vid,their class no idea.Vid?

I'm not going to waste my energy trying to have a proper lesson. That would just be futile.

I went over some of their English test questions with a couple of students.Somehow they knew the official answers now and....official answers were wrong.

Korean teachers never bothered to check the test with me. Rolling Eyes

I haven't taught my vocational students anything since Chuseok. My partner teacher disappeared at the beginning of the semester (although he has been seen wandering the halls.) Yelling didn't work, games didn't work, candy didn't work, studying certainly didn't work. They like to teach me Korean so that works. I guess it's better than them sleeping.

I'm just wrapping up things in my other classes. We're playing games and listening to music.

Same here. The top students suspect that the junior English teacher is wrong so they complain to the senior English teacher who takes it to me.

Why lose a little face sooner when you can lose a lot later?

I've had a grand total of 2 40 minute classes today. It's been like that for about a week and a half.
