The thread title is a line from a cool trance song, but the thread inspiration is a description of a study done by an expert on dreaming. It comes as a description of a CD set for sale a couple of years ago in a catalog of New Age goods from the site www.toolsforwellness.com (which has some pretty cool stuff).

'Learn from your dreams. Have you ever had a dream that surprised or mystified you? Did the people and places in that dream seem to be as real as your waking life? If so, you may have already discovered the astonishing truth; that your dreams are -very literally- alive. On Dreamtending, Dr Stephen Aizenstat, invites you to tap into the "world unconscious"- the living, dreaming mind of the universe itself. For more than 25 years, clinical psychologist Aizenstat has investigated the therapeutic and spiritual use of dreams throughout the world. His remarkable conclusion: that our dreams immerse us in the vast multidimensional psyche of Nature (the cosmos), where everything is dreaming- every person, creature, plant, and object. Here, in this communal realm, we can interact with and listen to other dream visitors to heal ourselves, help others, and gain new insights from the hidden intelligence of our dreams'.

Stunning. If you look around at waking life/consciousness as we comport ourselves about the world EVERYTHING is connected. I don't see how sleep should differ. Sleep drifting the mind into another part of the brain/form of consciousness that, like religion, joins us with the universe. The notion that dreams are encounters with other people dreaming is awesome, like a 'Matrix'.

Captain K, I think you should read Carlos Casteneda. His stuff has a lot of good info on the world of dreaming. But you have to read all the books he wrote to get to the core of it all.

Good luck with your dreams....
