Hey,
If anyone knows of a decent job opening, starting in January or February let me know.
Even if you have any leads I could follow up. I suffered in my last year contract so I'm looking for the best deal I can get this time round. Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers

IF you find the place, let me know too. Doing prep and teaching all day interferes with my surfing.
Now for a touch of seriousness:
If you are looking for a Feb start, then be patient. The public school systems will be getting serious about their recruitment requirements in early Jan. (I expect between the 8th and 15th).
It will be a teachers' market.

Never fails. Someone always posts The Lazy Man's Guide to Effortless Employment in Korea a couple of times a year. Never works.
1) It shows the world how lazy you are.
2) It shows the world that you failed to make a successful employment decision in the past, and so do not know the worth of your services or the state of the job market
Good luck. If you are approaching it this way, you'll need it. |

I think the OP is merely asking for a good school recommendation. |

My school will have an opening in March: Jungcul Junior Samsa Campus in Samcheonpo. It's a good school. A lot of responsibility, but you feel like you are part of the team, so to speak. Only downside is that it's a fairly remote area. Not many other Westerners. Except for me and some Mormons. But I'm pretty cool, and it's close to Jinju. I imagine they'll start advertising for the position soon. |

I just turned down a Jungchul contract - did they only pay for 1/4 of your airfare? I thought that was weird... |

Weird, no, I got full airfare. It's probably up to the school. Even though they're all part of a franchise, I imagine every school is run differently. The only common denominator is the books and the "Jungchul method." |

I landed a decent job at a hogwon, basically I just read some books play with the kids, and the older ones I just chat with during our conversation classes. It's pretty slack.... |
