Korean threads that insult Koreans are meaningless.... you might as well try to command the waves to stop!
in other words, Koreans are not monitering Dave's ESL to any great extent. yet, many posters delude themselves that their contributions here are making a big difference in the world.
i.e.... go to work, go home, fornicate, go to work... repeat same... at least that might produce something...
this makes sense? |

OP, doesn't it suck that we have a board where we can network, organise, and share information and there's nothing high-powered netizens can do about it. I've personally prevented clueless waygooks from taking jobs at crap academies - I know because I've had two PMs from people telling me so. That doesn't affect Koreans' lives? I would never have known about Babopaluza were it not for Dave's and now I'm just waiting for the word to start a letter-writing campaign; if just one gets published will that not affect Koreans? Many of my co-workers live in a city that has Wonderland academies and none of them are ever going to send their kids there after I told the POW story at a staff piss-up through translation. Does that not affect Koreans' lives? I'd have never known about POW were it not for Dave's. I've printed out stories from links here and on the Marmot and passed them around the staff room, showing my co-workers things (like Almondtease-gate) they wouldn't have otherwise known about. I could go on and on.

Dave's is hardly a world-class news site... i get my news from a variety of newspapers, magazines and TV.... if i see something here, i check it out on a real news site before i begin passing it around the office and calling it gospel... |
