there is a position in Ulsan in a school which haS no other foreign teachers and a position in Busan at a school called Kids Club which has afew other foreign teachers......
I was all set up to go to Ulsan but was then given this other option and i now cant decide what to do????!!!
I can see pro's and con's to them both..
If anyone has any suggestions, advice, comparisions to share then that would be fabulous!!!!!!!!! |

Busan is awesome. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in this crazy country. It's got beaches, lots to do, good bars....
Ulsan is much smaller and less foreigner friendly. But, I've only been there3 a few times so I don't know the place well. |

Going purely on location (not contract), you should go to Busan. Most people I meet don't like Ulsan. |

Not having lived in Busan I can't comment on it. I have lived in Ulsan though.
Check out the http://www.ulsanpear.biz/ for more info.
There are good things and bad things with everyplace. You will probably get a better contract in Ulsan as a result of supply and demand. Ulsan is a much smaller city than Busan and there are not many foreigners that live there. If the nightlife is important to you then Ulsan probably isn't the best place.
Ulsan is about one hour by bus to Busan and is a city that is focused on industry. When people say that it is a "ghetto," they are describing the industrial feel of the city and its residents, not the crime that is associated with a ghetto in the U.S..
Overall I thought Ulsan was great. I liked the small town feel of the neighborhoods and the friendliness of the people. I felt like the people were more friendly because it was a smaller city. |

I really think that Ulsan is a great city. However, I do not drink, and I am married, so I am not overly concerned with the nightlife culture. It is not nearly as polluted as people make it out to be; tell me a big city in korea that does not have pollution. There are many beaches in Ulsan, and Busan is only 1 hour away. |
