What a tremendous loss of one of the most fun and most important musicians of the century. My condolences to the family. Wish I had seen him in Seoul this last fall.

I saw him some years back in Montreal at the Montreal Jazz Festival. I think it was back in 1999. He was 67 years old at that time. He sure did rock:) I am sorry that his journey here with us has ended.

It's a pity. He must have waited until he was very sick to check himself in because people don't normally die that quickly from pneumonia, I would think.
