(YBM) ELS is for high school students and adults only.
"Pagoda" could mean either the kids hagwon division or the adults division depending on which you apply.
In both cases, the central downtown Jongno and Gangnam branches (of both companies) are very large with 30+ foreign teachers working there.
However some of the suburban branches are much smaller. In the case of a Pagoda kids hagwons in the outer suburbs, you may have only 4 or 5 foreign teachers based there.
YBM is the largest chain in the country. But their ELS branches rarely provide housing, so you would have to find your own.
Pagoda will provide housing for their kids branches and may or may not for their adult branches.
Both companies also have a few branches in regional areas that are a long way from Seoul, so you have to consider the pros and cons of working in such places before signing a contract. |
