About as prevalent as anywhere I guess. If I see it, I stamp down on it very quickly. |

I work at a girls middle / high school and have trouble imagining that happening. If something that serious occured (six girls kicking, tying her down and stripping her) I'm sure there would be hell to pay, parents' meetings, etc. The students are constantly play-fighting and hitting each other, but in 1 1/2 years there I've only had one incident that didn't occur in fun / jest, and I quickly put a stop to it. Usually, if it's not interferring with my teaching, I just let them go at.
I'd say this type of thing is very, very rare, especailly compared to the west. |
