Am going to teach a high school grade 2 kid conversation... from our brief phone convo, his English isn't too good. I want to concentrate on speaking and listening - with a bit of grammar here and there. Won't mind using two books.
Need a suggestion for a middle school grade 2 kid, too. His English is pretty decent. He goes to a hagwon for his grammar fix, so I said I want to mainly do speaking and listening, and to build up his vocab list. Any books out there that do these things??
Some help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!! |

Do not decide on the book until you meet him for the first time.
Then just get a bunch of things off the internet and see what he can do. Find out what he is interested in,
There are so many books, and they all focus on different things. You know the drill, you have been teaching for a long time, and you have given good advice to people.
Meet the kid. talk to him.
How long will you teaching him for? What does he want to learn?
Do not even look for a book until you meet him. Don't you have a lot of books in your home? Bring in some, and let him look through them with you. Then decide.
Have fun. |
