Please take a look at this website showing the various murals people paint on their houses in Ireland.

http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/tatard/mural/DSCN5437et8s.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/tatard/sam23.html&h=590&w=489&sz=111&hl=en&start=42&tbnid=x7ndGt01QJKEBM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=112&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dira%2Bmurals%26start%3D36%26ndsp%3D18%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN

Question:

1. If you paint a mural like one of these on your house, do your neighbors ever complain?

I was thinking about doing a similar mural on the side of my house, maybe one with a tribute to the FLQ, but I figure someone would probably calls the cops (Justin Trudeau).

2. If you paint a mural on your house, aren't you setting yourself up to be a target for whoever doesn't like you?

3. Is the whole Brit-Ireland thing still raging? I thought the whole thing died down?

Ha ha ha ha ha

The IRA said they would no longer use violence, like bombs, after the July 7, 2005 bombings in London, but true Irishmen will always have England.

[I'm not Irish, I just know some.]

me and my mate walked falls and c\shankill all day taking fotos of all those masterpieces. As well as all the single mums pushing prams raising 9 children each.

At the end of the day we decided to change films, and realised there was nothing in our camera.

Had a big laff and went for a point!! Laughing

First of all, you won't see those murals in Ireland. Not the Republic of Ireland.

You can see those murals in Northern Ireland. Especially Belfast (my home town).

The reason why people accept those paintings on their wall is because they live in a commuinty. They live in a neighborhood which supports the message of the mural.

Those murals are painted on gable ends. The last house in the terrace row will get a mural in most of the affected areas of Belfast.
