| Are New Years sales in Korea any good? Back home they're usually the best, on everything including electronics... |

Especially since New Years (the one that counts) is 7 1/2 weeks away. |

| They care nothing about holiday shopping sales. Don't bother waiting for some big drop in price or a clearance sale. |

It's my belief that Korean vendors, especially in electronics, can't bear to bring themselves to give big discounts on older stuff that they can't shift.
They don't want to let their customers get the idea that you only have to wait until something is 6-10 months old, and about to be superceded, then you can get it at half-price! No way!
I think they prefer to just take them off the shelves, immediately put out the new models, and do God knows what with the old stuff.........ship them off to other Asian gray markets? I dunno.
Anyway, you rarely see something at a real knock-down price. |
