My director gave me his Samsung sph-s3900 cell phone. I have a Gateway MX3210 laptop (Win XP).
I can't seem to get the photos onto my laptop. My cell service is through KTF. Anycall has a program, PCLink2000. It's in Korean. I installed it, no luck. Since it's in Korean, I asked a co-worker to install it and see if she can make it work. No luck. Next, I left it with her for a day. No luck. She said it might be something to do with a controller. I know computers pretty well, but I don't know what a controller is. The phone seems to be detected, that is, when I plug it it, it installs software. It does this automatically. But I can't move the photos either with the PCLink2000 program or any other means. The PCLink prog doesn't seem to detect the USB port. We also speculated that it might be because I'm using Windows in English.
1. Do you have a solution?
2. Do you think that language has anything to do with it? (I doubt it)
3. I'm thinking about taking it to a professional.....but who? KTF, Samsung, Anycall, someone else. What about the people language problem (solved by bringing a Korean friend).
4. My other option is to just buy a decent camera phone which, hopefully, won't have these problems. I just got here, so I'm broke until payday.
