Can anyone tell me how I'd go about registering a domain name in Korea. I'm after a .co.kr in the web address.

Cheers,

Kate

I think you would do it through the NATE or CYWORLD websites or directly through KTF or an ISP here in Korea. If you aren't fluent in Korean or have a Korean friend to help out you may not be able to find the links.

Having said that...as a web designer, I would like to point out to you that having a .com will give you a lot more hits than a .co.kr will. Even if your primary audience is Korean, you are better off to have the option of a wider range of potential clients.

One I can recommend is www.mailplug.co.kr

It's in Korean so you'd need a Korean friend to help. Can I ask why you're seeking a co.kr domain?

I think you have to have a registered Korean business, although a bit of Googling and I see some companies will register for you, for a price.

stevenisi, is iluvkorea your site? Interesting idea.

iluvkorea is not my site.. I know the people involved and they are all pretty cool so just helping them out a bit..
