My boss told me there is a street with a bunch of music stores on it in Seoul. I mean music stores that sell instruments, and sheet music; not music stores that sell CDs. Can anyone help me out, I forgot the street name. Some directions (via subway) would be useful too.

I had the same question when I arrived and was lucky enought to encounter a Korean guy who had The answer. Take the subway (line 3) to Jongno 3(sam)-ga. I'm not exactly sure which exit you take but this whole area is "the music district". When you get out you'll see lots and lots of music stores. If I were you, I would look for Nak Won Sang Gia. It is a huge building (like a multi-level warehouse) that deals in every kind of musical instrument you can imagine. I'm sure that if you start asking around someone can point you in the right direction (that's what I did).

| Thanks... What do you play? It would be nice to play with someone else. I play recorder, pennywhistle, and harmonica (badly). Looking to learn the oboe, if I can afford one or rent one here. |
