Hi all,

I was wondering if the camp is not sponsered by the school that is listed on your E-2 visa is it illegal to work at one? I am sure the government knows that these camps are offered so what's the scoop?

Thanks for the info.

It is illegal if it isn't done in the school grounds where you work and isn't run by your sponsor..

You have to get it approved at immigration and documented on your alien card for it to be legal...something that takes minimal hassle but directors/principals are seemingly loathe to do..

So in answer to this question..

yes, it is illegal...

Winter camp month is what you could call sweeps month...
-Some camps do get busted and all are deported home or fined without pay....it doesn't happen often but it does happen.
