				|
 |
				| Since I know online gambling is illegal in ROK, I'm asking this question hypothetically,
Apparently, it's possible to play from Korea on Paradise Poker with a Canadian based credit card with no problem. However they won't accept a Korean credit card. They use Neteller as well but no go there either. The only way to play from Korea with them is to use a credit card from another country or to wire them the funds. The problem playing with using another country's credit card is after crediting your card up to the amount of your most recent purchase they will only mail surplus funds (winnings) by cheque to the address on the credit card.

Does anyone know if it's possible in Korea to play any of the other major poker sites with a Korean credit card or have all sites banned Korean credit cards? Alternatively does anyone know a major site that accepts Paypal?

 Hypothetically speaking of course.

It is the only way you can pay basically...
Your comment is very stereotypical and a little narrow-minded

*Is using your credit card for movies a sign of movie addiction?
*Is using your credit card to buy food a sign of an eating addiction?
*Is using your credit card when drinking at a bar a sign of alcohol addiction?

 -Do you get my point?

Everything can be used and abused, I use a credit card but I would only gamble 50 000 won a month max...it all depends on the person

				| Sorry but using a credit card to pay for online gambling is an indication largely of a stupidity addiction. People who think this is legit are the same kinda gullible ding dongs who say AmeriKa's computer "voting" is accurate & fair.
Stop foolishly throwing your money away. If you wanna play cards get together with some people & play cards.

This reminds me, have you seen those ridiculous computerized horse "racing" rooms in Korea? All of these are examples of total mafia rip-off scams where the FIX IS IN.

With all due respect, stop being such a sucker.

				| Most of the major sites accept pay pal. I am particularly fond of http://Hollywoodpoker.com because they have weekly celebrity tournaments with bounties set on the celebrities playing.
FYI. Most online poker sites are not a scam. They use a random card generator that is just as random as a real deck of cards. Also, just like casinos with poker games, there is a rake. As a player you agree to having a percentage of every pot go to the house.

Or you could always join my house game

I do not charge a rake. I just naturally expect to beat you.

He he-Yeah, another know it all who has no clue about on line poker so preaches the holier than thou line.

Here's the skinny. First of all. paypal stopped accepting online poker transfers about 2 years ago. i play on pokerstars.com with a Korean credit card (for all you "addictive" naysayers-credit cards are the only way you can fund an online account) but I've been doing so for about 3 years so I'm a known commodity to them. I have a feeling you may have a problem trying to do so now. But what the hell, give it a shot. I too tried Paradise Poker but had my card refused. I like Pokerstars because they have deep stack tourneys with 1/2 hour blinds which helps bad runs.
But stay away from the 1 on 1 tables-too many pros hanging out there.
And yeah, if worst comes to worst do a wire transfer.
Good luck dude-keep "big Slick" on the short stack

Well, maybe you can explain to us the "science" of online gambling & how it is noone has any reason to be concenred with getting scammed.

You ARE trying to convince us that "virtual" on-line poker IS entirely legit aren't you? Hmmmmm ... well is so, do i have a deal for you. Only for you and only today! First i'll need your bank account number

Perhaps you can explain how the system is in fact "fool-proof". For one where are the cards? Computer generated aren't they? Who's the dealer? Can you see them? Can you see the cards being dealt? Can you touch them? Do you watch the "virtual" deck being shuffled?

I have computer poker games at home. It's amazing the freakish permutations that arise. If i didn't know better i'd have to say there was some cheating going on. Gotta take my hat off to the genius code programmers.

My impression is people who spend money ( and give out their credit card numbers ) over the internet for this kinda thing especially are not only gullible but indeed have a gambling addiction problem as well.

I hope you enjoy yourself all the same.

				| I have placed bets with sports books online from time to time. Max of $100 a month. I used my credit card too. Am I an addict? Perhaps it is just another form of entertainment? I get hours and hours of fun for the $100. I can blow $100 at a bar in twenty minutes. I have never gambled thinking I was going to get rich. I have always looked at it that I spent this amount of money and I was entertained for such and such a time.
If I use my creidt card to take out money from an ATM when I am at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas am I an addict?

Can you see the cards being shuffled in the new fangled shufflers they now use in Vegas?

The major online sites I would trust them (aren't the Vegas casinos now getting in on the action?). They are major sponsers of all kinds of events and have a reputation to uphold if they plan on staying in business for more than three months.

Just because you gamble does not mean you are addicted. People that are addicted have no self-control.

				| Hey,
I use neteller and transfer from my bank account in Canada. Payout goes back to my bank account instantly. Usually have a good bankroll so don't have to transfer funds to my Canadian bank account. If you want to play online, PM me and I will give you my username...Canadian credit cards not accepted where I play, pokerstars......I've tried many sites, have a lot to say but won't here....just know that pokeroom seems funny. Too damn unusual in the hands that arrive (I say this after playing ,ooo of hands.)

To the negative, holier than thou types.....go somewhere else with that crap. We aren't taking your first born or screwing your wife. Just playin and payin .... legit game and science.

				| Love em, stuff em..... bluff em..... just depends on the situation. ALWAYS play the other person's stack -- their total situation and not just the hand...that way you are thinking like they are wagering, looking at the size of "the army" they have.......
