hi, hope this is posted in the right section.

i currently have an E-1 visa and resigned my position March 1. However, I was travelling while I did this and am still outside of Korea.

i'm uncertain how the visa process will work for me when i return. the school has not been good about communicating with me and i'm guessing i will not get a letter of release when i return March 16.

do i simply go to Immigration and ask them to cancel my E-1? i'm trying to avoid a situation where i return and only have a little bit of time before i need to leave again and return as a tourist.

after i return, i may stay in Korea for another 6 months or so and do some more work.

thanks.
