I just emailed the contract that alabamaman revised for me to the recruiter. The recruiter calls me and tells me it's fine...that we will go with the new contract...that he only works for me. Do I have stupid written on my forehead? |

Tell him to have your employer sign two copies of it first, get them mailed to you, keep one of them, and sign the other and send it off to Korea.
Make sure it says that English is the governing language of the contract. |

This is a good idea, but since you are working in Korea, a Korean contract is ok as long as you get someone reliable to make sure it matches the English declarations on the contract. If the employer doesn't agree to making English the governing language and it is a good job, don't let that become a reason for turning it down, just do your research and get a good translator. |

| I redid the entire contract myself based on what alabamaman suggested. I think that, along with everything else in the contract, I did pretty dern good!!! I told him that if I did not get a signed copy from the hagwon, I would consider the entire thing null and void and that I WOULD look for employment elsewhere!!! |
