After my first job in Seoul (hagwon), in the proceess of getting a new E-2 visa I handed in my ARC card to immigration prior to my visa run to Japan.
On my second contract now in Gyeonggido (Ilsan Public School) and have just noticed that my new ARC ID# is different than the # on my first ARC card.
Is this correct???? I thought that we were supposed to be issued a new ARC card with the same ID #. |

| I believe my two cards have different numbers, but I don't have my first card here to check. |

I've only had the same number on my ARC if I told Immigration to use the old number. Otherwise, they gave me a new number. |

| I too have only had the same card in my 5 years of being here... they just keep writing amendments to it on the back (which I would prefer they didn't - everyone seems to miss the change of address). |
