I don't know if it's the central heating or what, but I seem to be constantly bunged-up - my nose and throat, that is. Does anyone else suffer from this at this time of year.
I'm a non-smoker, I don't drink a lot (once over the festive season), work out regualry, eat well, take a multi-vit, and still feel like this. Life is not fair. |

Right.
Korean winters are very dry. The dry air plays havoc with your throat and nasal passages. |

I can't use a humidifier and I am stuffed up all the time.. Get your self checked out for allergies. I gained 4 new allergies in Korea. Humidifier would have killed me. |

Buy nose spray at the import store. It's totally gross, but you can breathe. |

Humidifier does wonders.
Also, head to the local spa or public bath and use their steam room. |

I just bumped up an old post on humidifers that I posted back in October. Check it out if you're wondering what kind of humidifier would be good for you.
Personally, . . can't live without one!

Humidifier, hot showers, and a bit of vaseline in your nostrils (sorry, it's gross but it works better and longer than anything else and will prevent nose bleeds, if you are prone to them). |

Better than vaseline, go to a pharmacy and explain your dry nose problem and they will give you a salve which contains something to fight bacteria..........it's great. Also, turn down or turn off your heat at night where you sleep.
The real problem for me is related to the filthy air along the streets and also in the subways which lack proper oxygen. Maybe we all need to use masks. |
