Well I finally made a decision and Ill be teaching for SEV- Seoul English Village in Songpa-gu. They will be paying me for 2.1 million won and they pay for everything... food, electricity/water and internet. I do realize I will be living the dorm life but I did it all the way through college and loved it. I know this is a random post but Im pretty excited. So.... if anybody could tell me any info on the area I will be living that would be great. Thanks, Austin

Aman,

I think you are confusing Austin Hunter with SCSA. They are completely different people. Wildwater is a new guy.

AC

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure on this one.

Try...

www.smrt.co.kr

The subway website is very good. Even though Seoul supposedly learned something about the world due to the 1988 Olympics(they improved the subway via Englishee) they have yet to do the same some 15-20 years later when talking about the BUS System. A true but seriously SAAAAAAAAAD FACT!!!

S. Korea complains about their lack of knowledge/ability to succeed in the service sector. Yet, put forth practically no effort ala "NO WILL." WHY/HOW/SHOULD we provide service to foreigners?????????DUUUUUUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they have a will, they can find a way. The problem is they DON'T have a WILL!!!!!!!!!Why would they care about you/I/anybody foreign?????????????????

Songpa is near Lotte Dept. store/Lotte World(a.k.a. South Korea Disney Land/almost). "Everland" outside of Seoul might be more like Disney, but who cares? It will be a nightmare getting there unless you wake up very early on a weekend morning to take your family.

The typical managerial style at such events is crude at best. In the past they have offered free days/discounted/whatever which don't need such offers since they entice mass crowds that kill people.

The area is fine/convenient, especially if you get SCR**** by an employer.

The court house is not far away. Just next to the court house(2-3 buildings down) is a place to receive prostitutional services which they call an "ANMA."

They will bathe you, stick their finger up your buttocks, and then lay down for you. All for the approx. low price of 170.000 Won. Is it worth it?

Compared to other typical Korean female services in Korea many expats prefer these especially due to the fact that some services are not offered/available to you because of RACISM/AIDS threat and PIMP thought process expressed to prostitutes that FOREIGNERS are the cause of AIDS. Go figure Rolling Eyes

GET USED TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never been inside an ANMA, but compared to other ANMA'S from the outside, it looks extravagant. Why wouldn't it? It's new and it obviously cateres to JUDGES/ATTORNEYS(those who set laws against such criminal activity).

GUII Subway station, next to Konkuk University subway station on line number # 2.

Autstin, I recommend that you take down your photo and remove your name from your signature line. It is better to remain anonymous when posting for many reasons. Idea
